Top Question #1 :  Who is providing the medical aesthetic treatment and how experienced are they?  One of the most common and important questions we hear is, “Who is actually performing my treatment?” In Colorado, medical aesthetic treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers must be overseen by a medical director, which ensures a high standard of safety and care.

Answer:  At Glosshouz, we take this a step further by ensuring that your injections and advanced clinical treatments are performed only by medically licensed personnel:  this includes trained Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, or Nurse Practitioners. Top Question #3:  Will it hurt and what is the recovery like?

Downtime is another key question we hear frequently, especially from clients with busy schedules. The good news is that many modern aesthetic treatments are minimally invasive and designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Answer:  Answer is: It depends, but most things at Glosshouz are minimally invasive and quick recovery.

First-time Botox, for example, is often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure” because it requires virtually no downtime, and results gradually appear over the course of 10 to 14 days.

Dermal fillers provide immediate results, although some clients may experience minor swelling or bruising for a few days following treatment.

Anytime you introduce a tiny poke with a needle you have a chance of bruising or bleeding.  However, you’ll be surprised to know there are things you can do BEFORE your appointment that will help mitigate the chances of bruising!  See our Blog post: 

Treatments like microneedling or chemical peels may result in temporary redness or “pinkness,” similar to a mild sunburn, which typically resolves within 24 to 72 hours. So you might look funny right at first, but it will diminish quickly!

Advanced Face ThreadLift procedure is the other end of our scale at Glosshouz, and this treatment may take a bit longer to recover and feel your normal self again. (about a week! Still manageable throughout the week though.)

Top Question #4:  Do I need a medspa consultation first?

Answer:  Well, that depends.  If you are pretty sure you will want to do the treatment you can simply book it online and we will provide the medical consultation for that treatment while you are here. (for example, for BOTOX or filler).  However, if you are wanting a treatment plan to get to your aesthetic goals over time, we always recommend a full Facial Balancing Consultation with our medical providers. They are the ones that can take the time to educate you about what is possible, help you plan the timing of it relative to other things going on in your life, and they can help you price it out for the best cost approach and for budgeting purposes.  For all those reasons, we recommend that you can book that appointment and get a treatment plan!
