Glosshouz Re-opened with Extra Safety Measures

Tri-county Health Department has allowed Glosshouz at Park Meadows to re-open on May 9, 2020.  Any updates to this status will be posted here.


Glosshouz temporarily closed Mar 19 - May 9, 2020 due to coronavirus pandemic.  "Non-essential personal care services" were ordered to shut down by public order, Bars Restaurants Public Health Order 20-22, from the Tri-county Health Department, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.  We are allowed to re-open under strict guidelines and extra safety precautions.

Since that time, our Team Members monitor symptoms daily and if any are feeling at all unwell, they will stay home and/or get Covid-19 tested (in which case, they be necessarily out for a few days). Thank you for understanding if we must reschedule your service appointment during these challenging times.  Our aim is to continue to serve our community but also do the best we can to keep everyone as safe as possible.  If we need to reschedule you, we will call, email and text (please turn on text notices for your Glosshouz profile).  If you need to reach us you may also call or text to our main number 303-459-4210.  This inbox is monitored daily.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are your friendly beauty and wellness experts.  Today more than ever—safety is our main concern.  The following extra safety measures are in place at Glosshouz until further notice.  

Please bear with us and understand the extra processes detailed below are put in place to meet state guidelines and to protect our Team and our Glosshouz customers during the global coronavirus pandemic.

We are now providing all services.

COVID-19 safety measures in place: 

  • Health Symptoms Check - Staff and Customers are monitored for the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, congestion. If you are ill, or under the weather at all, even with a sniffle or allergies, please do not come to the spa.  We will not be able to provide your service.

  • Body Temperature Check - All staff will be monitored for high body temperature daily.  If you have had a temperature in the last 72 hours, please do not come to the spa and reschedule your appointment. 

  • Everyone Wears Face Mask - All guests will be required to wear face masks at Glosshouz for your safety and ours.  You are welcome to bring your own face mask to the spa.  However, if you do not have one, we will also have washable cloth face masks that you can use while here.  You are required to wear a mask at all times while in spa.

  • Service Providers Wear Gloves  - Gloves are changed per guest service and hands are washed.

  • Extra Disinfecting - Staff will perform routine wipe down and disinfection of all hard surfaces and common areas.  Please be patient as we take extra time to re-sanitize all hard surfaces in between appointments and regularly throughout the day.  (Did you know? We always steam-pressure sterilize our metal tools and use disposable nail implements, so we have no need to re-use client to client.)

  • No Congregating in Spa - We will not have more than 10 persons in any gathering space. We will not have our Guests congregating in waiting rooms.  To accomplish this, you may be asked to wait at various places in the spa (every other seat at the counter, or in the blow dry bar, or the Party Room instead of Relax Room) and if there are more than a couple people waiting, you may be asked to wait in your car until we come get you for your appointment.

  • 6 Foot Social Distancing - We will maintain 6 foot social distancing for all guests while you are waiting at marked waiting spots during check in and check out.  If there is a line to check in or out, please be prepared to wait outside, in your car, or at areas as we designate.  

  • No Extra Visitors - During this first phase of re-opening, we will only allow customers in spa and no added guests unless they have an appointment.  We are under strict guidelines to limit customers in the building, so please bear with us and do not bring kids or friends in with you. 

  • Beverage Service - Provided in plastic cups.  For the time being, we'll serve all beverages in plastic or paper cups, not glasses or ceramic mugs.

  • Higher risk Glosshouz Team Members Unavailable (with asthma, for example) - We are so sorry that some of your favorite Glosshouz Team Members may not be available for appointments during the early phases of re-open.  We intend and hope they will back in a month or two when things are safer.

The above new safety practices are in place until further notice. These guidelines may be updated time-to-time as we learn more from government recommendations and the CDC, Center for Disease Control.
